Xpectacolo
Xpectacolo, Het avondje uit waar Expats en alle andere inwoners van Den Haag elkaar ontmoeten onder het genot van een verrukkelijke cuisine, een spectaculaire dans- en muziekshow en een disco als afsluiting.
Sinds april 2010: één weekend per maand en op speciaal verzoek.
Dit avondvullende programma wordt samen met Gastheer Rinus Sprong, Chef koks René Pluijm en Sylvester Wielenga, DJ Jen Min Lau en talloze dansers en musici van Muziektheater Briza georganiseerd.
Xpectacolo is een productie van Pandora-Produkties, een bedrijf dat theaterprogramma’s maakt voor jong en oud. Dit bedrijf wordt geleid door Jan Erik Noske en Yvette Olof respectievelijk muzikant en danseres bij Muziektheater Briza.

Now The Hague’s International and Expat community can meet with all other inhabitants of the Hague for an evening of culture and cuisine. Once a month, the Zeeheldentheater hosts XPECTACOLO: an extravaganza of local history, fine food and memorable music and dance!

Welcome to Musical Theatre Briza’s dynamic and amazing Xpectacolo-Show!!
Your all-singing, all-dancing host for the evening is the multitalented Rinus Sprong of the Dutch Don’t Dance Division.
He will sing and talk you through repertoire comprising musical songs ('Big Spender', 'These Boots are made for Walking' 'Puttin on a Show'), French chansons (Jacques Brel’s 'La Chanson des vieux Amants'), Spanish pieces (Garcia Llorca’s 'Giraba la Rueda' and Alberto Iglesias’ 'Habla con ella') as well as some lovely Dutch ditties (e.g. Paul de Leeuw’s 'Ik heb je lief').
Our programme also features enchanting dances to music from South America and Africa and a Beatles medley.
Why is The Hague known as City of Peace and Justice? Raconteur Rinus will explain by telling you all about local heroes Hugo de Groot, Baruch de Spinoza and Christiaan Huygens.
Our Xpectacolo performers hope you enjoy an unforgettable evening.
After the show, the theatre will be transformed into a glittering dance hall. Then it’s your turn to trip the light fantastic to various rhythms.
In-house DJ Jen Min Lau is sensitive to the mood of the crowd and will adjust his choice of music accordingly. Or according to your specific wishes Jen Min has been turning the tables for years at local venues, such as The Hague Jazz Festival, Carlton Ambassador, Hotel des Indes, restaurant Seinpost, Harbour Club and Pulchri Studio.
Jen Min plays anything from jazz to pop classics, soul to Latin. But as much as the music, the mood is essential to him and he will not be happy until his audience is.
During the Nineties, he successfully managed his own club, A-Zora. Jen Min was also the driving force behind The Hague’s first Sushi bar Kiraku.
