Early Saturday morning of the 4th of December, 219 participants gathered in Oss to fight for the national title Taekwondo technical. The championships were organized by Dutch Taekwondo Federation. Taekwondo school Gyeong-rye the Hague participated with 7 athletes. In the C-class Peer Wijshoff got the 3rd place and Ismael Mourillon-Tlili got the 2nd place. Women category Evrilia Maharani got the bronze medal. As twins Jasmin and Ismail Mourillon-Tlili got the gold in the category ‘pairs’! In the category adults Iwan Wind also got the gold and became national champion. In the black belt category for ladies, Cailyn Kaslim faced a tough fight as she had to compete really strong opponents in a large group. Nevertheless she won the bronze medal, a fantastic achievement. Last but not least our last competitor Boyd Hagebeek had to beat 3 competitors in the finals for men-cadets black belt. Although he was struck down by flue for the last 4 days, he managed to come and won the golden medal! Esther Welschen had to face 15 opponents and did not succeed in winning a medal.
